Dripping Rainfall Simulators for Soil Research—Performance Review

چکیده

Rainfall simulators represent often-used equipment for soil research. Depending on their performance, they could be appropriate some research or not. The aim of this is to provide insight into the capabilities existing dripping rainfall (DRS) mimic natural and frequency simulated rainfalls certain characteristics, facilitate selection rain that would best meet needs reach a step closer standardization simulators. DRS performance was analyzed integrally, with more than one dripper (DRS>1) (DRS=1). A statistical analysis performed DRS, wetted area, drop size, intensity, duration kinetic energy. showed can corresponds rainfall, except in terms size distribution area. However, usually there are factors do not correspond such as median volume Metal plastic tubes (MT PT) most present types strong relation between outer diameter (OD) while inner (ID) moderate-to-weak. when increasing range MT drippers, significance becomes very bouts ID OD. With increase PT, deviates from logarithmic curve represents all drippers together. sizes drops generated by mostly 2 6 mm, number smaller mm relatively small. intensity successfully produced match values, frequently short-term high intensity. Most simulations were conducted at fall height up m, then gradually decreases gets 5 m. (58.6%) occur 20-90% KE, 33.0% 90-100%, only 8.4% lower 20% KE.

Simulators for Wireless Sensor Networks: A Review

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is made by an oversized variety of networked sensing nodes. It's rather advanced, or perhaps unworkable, to model analytically a WSN and it always results in simple analysis with restricted confidence. Besides, deploying test-beds supposes a large effort. Therefore, simulation is important to check WSN. However, it needs acceptable model supported solid assum...

A Review on Cloud Simulators

Cloud computing is today’s emerging technology, which offers computing resources as a service over the different network, through the web browser. As the adoption and rapid application development of cloud computing increases day by day, it is challenging to evaluate the security and performance problems that cloud computing confronts. Presently, modeling and simulation technology has become a ...

A Protocol for Conducting Rainfall Simulation to Study Soil Runoff

Rainfall is a driving force for the transport of environmental contaminants from agricultural soils to surficial water bodies via surface runoff. The objective of this study was to characterize the effects of antecedent soil moisture content on the fate and transport of surface applied commercial urea, a common form of nitrogen (N) fertilizer, following a rainfall event that occurs within 24 hr...

A Review of Mesh Generation for Medical Simulators

by Michel A. Audette, Andrey Chernikov, and Nikos Chrisochoides Introduction and Learning Objectives Medical simulation is the application of computers to synthesizing an anatomical response to a simulated therapy. In particular, surgery simulation uses a software program to synthesize tissue response to virtual surgical tools, typically (but not exclusively) a mechanical response to cutting or...

The dripping faucet revisited.

High accuracy experimental results on the nonlinear dynamical behaviour of a dripping faucet are presented. The distribution functions for droplet sizes and drip intervals together with return maps are studied for various dripping rates. Increasing this control parameter, chaotic behaviour is obtained and discussed. (c) 1996 American Institute of Physics.
